Where and when is Bridging to Resilience 2019?
Bridging to Resilience will be April 23-24, 2019 at the Sheraton Overland Park in Overland Park, Kansas.
Who is Bridging to Resilience really for?
Bridging to Resilience is for classroom teachers, administrators, students and parents, non-profit organizations, and caregivers – really anyone interested in improving education and preparing kids for their future. The goal is simple. Heal trauma and combat poverty. If you’re interested in finding and sharing ways to do that, then you’re in the right place.
Are there registration deadlines?
No. But you get the early bird registration price of $375 until February 1, 2019. The price goes up to $425 after that so you’ll want to get in on this early.
What if I register but later can’t make the conference? Can I get a refund?
We understand that plans change so there will be no penalty for cancellations received on or before the date 30 days prior to the first day of the conference. We’ll refund the full amount paid minus a $25 processing fee.
But we’re ordering food, making reservations . . . you get the idea. So we will have to charge a cancellation penalty of 50% of registration costs for any cancellations received between 29 to 10 days before the pre-conference. And we can’t issue any refunds for cancellations received less than 10 days before the first day of the conference. All cancellations must be sent in writing via fax, e-mail, or regular mail.
Can I pay with a purchase order or credit card?
Visit the Registration page for details but short answer, yes. We’re using PayPal to collect individual registration fees so you’re always able to use a credit card. We also accept arrangements with school districts to pay via a check. Is there a group discount?
After 20 regularly priced registrations, any further registrations from the same group are just $300 for a savings of $75 per person. Contact our business office for details – 620-663-9566 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Are there things to do after the day’s sessions are over?
Yes. The conference is in a section of Overland Park with numerous restaurants within 10-15 minutes driving distance. There are also several shopping malls and movie theaters nearby.
I’m driving. Where do I park?
There are several free parking options right next door to the hotel and conference center. There is also $15 per day valet parking if you’re looking for that.
Is lunch included in my registration fee?
We’re negotiating with the conference site to provide breakfast and lunch for participants. But we want to keep registration fees down so we’re not sure if we’ll be able to work out an arrangement with them that allows us a way to keep your cost as low as possible. If we can work something out, bonus! Check back as we get closer to April.
What about graduate credit?

If I am presenting at the conference, do I need to register for the conference?
Yes. Please remember that everyone who will be attending the conference needs to register. But presenters will be able to register using the registration code you received in your confirmation email.
